Grand Island Tour — East Coast

The Grand Island Experience is our most complete journey—approximately 4 to 4.5 hours of curated mountain roads, traditional villages, authentic flavors, and breathtaking scenery.

The tour begins at approximately 10:00 in the morning, directly from your hotel. The route is built for a motorcycle. We ride toward Kolymbia and turn inland toward Seven Springs. The landscape changes. The air becomes cooler as the road begins to curve. We pass Epta Piges and climb toward the small countryside chapel of Fountoukli for our first scenic pause.

From there, the ascent toward Profitis Ilias is simply unforgettable. Sweeping bends, forest roads, and panoramic viewpoints feel purpose-built for this experience. A relaxed coffee stop allows time to breathe in the mountain atmosphere before we continue the circular route around the mountain. Every segment of this road feels intentional. Every turn feels rewarding.

In the village of Apollona, we stop for a traditional lunch at Paraga, widely regarded as one of the finest authentic tavernas on the island, with no tourist menu. Enjoy a carefully selected tasting of local meats, handmade dips, and regional specialties. Wine tasting is included, and guests will have the opportunity to purchase local wine bottles. The pace is generous, with free time for yourselves. Time to feel the rhythm of the village.

On our return, we pass through Eleousa, the historic Italian-era settlement with its distinctive architecture and forest surroundings. If guests wish, we may also visit a local family ceramic workshop—where traditional Rhodian pottery is crafted by hand, a skill passed down through generations. A quiet but meaningful glimpse into the island's heritage. This is not only a ride. It is an island immersion.
